Skin, New Generation Touch Screen

A hardware company named Displax already started marketing the Skin, a film that can turn any nonmetal surface into an interactive touch screen.

As quoted from Mashable, Wednesday (08/18/2010), users can put the Skins on various surfaces, either flat or wavy. Users also can use it to download the content display are preferred. Skin with multi-touch technology can detect six fingers at once and also can detect air movement.

Skin is the transparent material which works well on the transparent surface. Users can put the skins on the glass surface and to display its contents through the glass.

This unique hardware work through the nanowire system which is mounted on the polymer film on the skin. Skin users can use the screen, not just with the touch but can also blow it out. According to Displax the electrical disturbance which is detected make micro-processor controller able to show movement or direction of air flow.

There will be millions of the using of this technology, ranging from business presentation, treatment, museums, schools, video-games, and others.
