Planning a Neighborhood Block Party
If you have been put in charge of your neighborhood block party you have a lot of planning ahead of you. While it can take some time it will be well worth it when all of your neighbors are having a ball in the middle of the street. The kids will be playing and the grills will be grilling and it will bring your neighbors closer together. Here are a few tips for planning the perfect block party:
Invites and Decorations Get the invites out a week or two in advance so your neighbors can clear their schedules. Putting up some banners makes a great decoration. Check with your local banner printing shop to get this work finished. You can save these banners for the next year as well.
Games Plan plenty of games and other activities for the kids. It might be a good idea to put up a craft table so the kids can work on coloring and painting. They can do some flyer printing as well. Having a craft table will keep the kids busy and make sure they have a souvenir of the day.
Planning a neighborhood block party is a lot of fun and the party will be a great time for everyone in the neighborhood.
